Environmental Justice Education Program

  • Grangabel Park Peconic Ave Riverhead, NY, 11901 United States (map)

Take action and learn all about the local environment! We will investigate local air quality, water quality, and ecosystem balance using the latest technology. Learn how to use Aeroqual to monitor particulates, BloomWatch to monitor the spread of cyanobacteria blooms in lakes, and Seek to identify plants, animals, and insects you find right in their environment. Come learn how we can all track and report environmental changes to direct us toward a healthier planet.

This program is made accessible to the community by the Environmental Protection Agency. All citizen scientists, curious minds, and friends are welcome to join us in Grangabel park. Attendees are encouraged to park in the lot off of Heidi Behr way, and walk across the street to meet the LISC team by the Boat Launch Point. Please refer to the map point labeled Grangabel Park to confirm the meeting location. Be mindful to wear suitable outdoor attire, and bring water for this event.
