Chemical Science
We have Chemical Science program options that are appropriate for a range of grades from Pre-K-8th grade. The content and project for each program is tailored to your grade level. States of Matter - CHemistry Concoctions
Explore the states of matter in a creative lab setting. Presentation allows students to differentiate between solids, liquids and gases. Students make polymer “Phlubber”. Experimentation culminates in the production of a particularly tasty crystallized concoction, better known as ice cream. This program has a supplemental fee. Visit to your site is $370 for the first session and $325 for each additional. A visit to the Science Center with this program is $16 per student.

Chemistry Detective
Students perform qualitative tests on common household powders, and on a “mystery” powder. They use analytical thinking and deductive reasoning to solve the identity of the unknown substance. Concrete ideas about atoms and molecules are formulated as students participate in this challenging program.

Magical Molecules
Experience the magic of combining molecules to create new substances. Participants make glue using household materials. When they add additional substances, something totally different is created! All materials are included.

Ice Cream Science
In a lab setting participants perform hands-on experiments that explore the molecular nature of matter. Experimentation culminates in the production of a particularly tasty crystallized concoction, better known as ice cream. A yummy experience! (Out programs must provide a freezer.)

Cool Chemistry
What is so cold it burns? Our cool chemistry class! Students will learn about sublimation while watching some really “cool” tricks and experiments the educator will demonstrate.

Edible Chemistry - The Popping Boba
Believe it or not much of food and cooking is made possible through the wonders of chemical reactions. Students will learn about how we can use kitchen safe chemicals to alter the texture of foods by making popping bobas.

Bubbling Science
Pop, pop, pop! A little bit of chemistry and geometry and a lot of bubble fun. Students will learn about surface tension, elasticity, minimal surface structures, and why bubbles are so colorful. This class requires either an outdoor space or an area where a drop cloth can be placed on the floor.
